Who Will Draw First Blood?

The barrage of relentless political hatred and insults is wearing on my psyche and on the minds of countless others who voted for Trump. After enduring eight years of Obama and two years of rancid and nasty campaign rhetoric in a protracted campaign against Trump, the rancor is beginning to putrefy. And it’s not going to go away. Here’s why.

The left knows that a substantial, sustained effort to keep repeating demonstrably false assertions works. The volume is turned up on the Russian misinformation in a calculated move to become fact in the foggy minds of busy Americans who have grown weary of the assault on truth and who don’t have time to do their own research for every headline that the mainstream media is perpetuating.

And then there are the completely mindless and destructive demonstrations that are never ending. Take for instance the women’s march in D.C. where millions of women came out to hear bitter actresses ranting about pussy power and other absurd ideas that completely gloss over the facts. In America, women have the right to own property, control their own destiny, hold positions of power, and work at any job they want. For the first time in history, more women are graduating college than men. So what, exactly, were these women marching for? If they were truly feminist, they would be more concerned with the mistreatment, abuse, and inhumane treatment of women in Islamic countries. But these are just pesky facts. It’s the propaganda that matters.

What keeps me from becoming completely exhausted in the information fight is I am beginning to slowly simmer under the surface. I am angry. I am angry at those in power who hold the megaphone of society and tell those of us who voted for Trump that we are misogynist, homophobic, sexist, racist, come from white privilege, or are just plain stupid.

No, it takes a special type of stupid to repeat the rhetoric that the media machine has fed them for the past 30 years. It takes a special type of stupid to demonstrate against a completely democratic process called an election. It takes a special type of stupid to think that leaving our borders wide open will create a utopian society where those crossing it share our own values. It takes a special type of stupid to think I am going to go away and they are going to put me back in a box. Yes, I am exhausted. I am daily being forced to counteract, react, and write, twitter, and post against the absolute absurdity of the logic on the left. I am so very tired.

Here’s what else I know. Someone is going to draw first blood. They are counting on our exhaustion and they are counting on our anger. As I come up for air and take a day’s respite from the madness of the left, I have to ask, what agency is controlling the flow of information? What is being planned next? I hear rumors and ruminations from those on the right who are tirelessly fighting to find the truth in the lies. I am hearing impeachment plans, huge marches in the spring, CIA conspiracies, inside coups, a collapse of the banking system. The collapse, even, of society.

Like Stallone in “First Blood,” this huge number of Americans, of which I count myself a part of, have been pushed around, pushed into corners, and pushed to the brink, the break point is coming. Rambo nailed it when he said:

“Nothing is over! Nothing! You just don’t turn it off! It wasn’t my war! You asked me, I didn’t ask you! And I did what I had to do to win! But somebody wouldn’t let us win! And I come back to the world and I see all those maggots at the airport, protesting me, spitting. Calling me baby killer and all kinds of vile crap! Who are they to protest me, huh? Who are they? Unless they’ve been me and been there and know what the hell they’re yelling about! Back there I could fly a gunship, I could drive a tank, I was in charge of million dollar equipment, back here I can’t even hold a job parking cars!”

I hear you Rambo. I hear you loud and clear. And Trump understands this about you—about us. He understands that you matter, that you count. Most of all, he understands that the war isn’t over for them. All of the left’s madness has a calculated purpose, civil war and the collapse of our nation state. The fascist on the left don’t want to demonstrate peacefully and, more important, they don’t want you to live in a manner that disagrees with their ideology.

Progressive Democrats and RINOs are tirelessly working to disrupt Republican lawmakers’ town hall meetings and Washington deal making. The organization Indivisible has organized more than 4,500 local groups since December 2016 to resist the Trump agenda. The group’s Board is made up of staffers with ties to Soros and La Raza. Only time will tell who will draw first blood, but it is incumbent that we not grow weary, that we stay vigilant, and that we continue to resist the false narrative. Reign well.
