Spiritual Wickedness in High Places and the Rise of the Witch

More than 100 years ago, the German philosopher Friedrich Nietzsche declared that God was dead, and he was right. Nietzsche was boldly declaring the beginning of a western secular age and a declaration of intellectual war against all things sacred.

Our post-modern society has completely eschewed the Christian God of the Bible and the recognition of spiritual entities, choosing instead to believe only in the god of relativity, at least in the public sphere. Consequently, any knowledge of spiritual forces or how to engage in spiritual battles has been completely erased from the modern collective memory—that is until recently.

Despite Nietzsche’s declaration, or perhaps because of it, Washington, D.C. swamp creatures and their intellectual flotsam remain deeply spiritual. Recall how a WikiLeaks data dump of DNC emails uncovered an invitation to Clinton campaign chairman John Podesta to a “spirit cooking dinner.” Podesta was asked by Marina Abramovic to take part in an occult ritual practiced by Satanist Aleister Crowley. This was quickly followed with headlines that Hillary Clinton wanted to practice voodoo on reporters who didn’t like her.

Not to be left out of the party, Sally Quinn, a former Washington Post gossip reporter and socialite, declared that she, too, practiced witchcraft. Quinn, who married Post editor and cultural powerhouse Ben Bradlee, bragged that she hexed her foes and was directly responsible for the deaths of three of her enemies.

And in the fast-changing digital news cycle, it’s easy to forget this year’s headlines and the 1996 tell-all book penned by Bradlee that exposed then First Lady Hillary Clinton’s long and serious relationship with New Age guru Jean Houston. Houston purportedly spent a lot of time in the White House and taught Clinton to use guided imagery to conduct conversations with Eleanor Roosevelt and Mahatma Ghandi. In other words, Clinton was speaking to dead people in the very seat of U.S. power and privilege.

The red-pilled among us who are actively engaged in fighting the relentless ideological colonization of our nation, are in a war that is much more than right versus left. The fight against progressive ideals is a fight against spiritual forces that want to dethrone the Christian God of western civilization and create a human-based, utopian society guided by other worldly spirits.

There is no other explanation for the sheer lunacy and evilness of what is going on in our government. If you are actively involved in the fight to save what is left of our nation and to wake up the sleeping masses, you must understand that there is a spiritual component to the madness—and there is an expected end. Although I often grow weary of the battle and want to withdraw from social media, the stakes couldn’t be any higher.

The rise in occultism among millennials has resulted in an entire generation becoming involved in witchcraft and who are eager to employ their new found faith in the occult to affect change in politics and culture, most recently organizing ritual hexings of President Trump and earlier this year, a judge who gave a lenient sentence to an accused rapist.

I wrote about the spiritual vacuum that resulted with Nietzsche’s declaration that God was dead and the rise of paganism in my previous article, The Craft. More recently, Michelle Goldberg in her New York Times article opinion piece, “Season of the Witch,” discusses how millennials are practicing Wicca to overcome their feelings of confusion and helplessness in a chaotic and politically charged climate.

Modernity doesn’t publicly recognize the spiritual dimension to worldly events, but Christians should. There is a reason that God has been systematically removed from our public sphere and why our Christian foundation has eroded to the point where we have become a secular nation, just as Britain is today.

“Since I entered politics, I have chiefly had men’s views confided to me privately. Some of the biggest men in the U.S., in the field of commerce and manufacturing, are afraid of somebody, are afraid of something. They know that there is a power somewhere so organized, so subtle, so watchful, so interlocked, so complete, so pervasive, that they had better not speak above their breath when they speak in condemnation of it.” —Woodrow Wilson

The forces of darkness are ramping up here and across the globe, such as the mock human sacrifice at CERN in Geneva, Switzerland, and the occult ceremony of the opening of the Gotthard Base tunnel in Switzerland that appeared to be a black ritual. Then there’s the satanic temple of the seven-foot, goat-headed Baphomet statue making the rounds of the world’s greatest cities.

The battle is raging for the soul of our nation, and God desires that we be fully equipped to battle spiritual wickedness in high places. ”For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.” (Eph. 6:12)

When the verbal chicanery and zealotry of the left is as relentless as it is today, it’s tempting to believe the lie that the rewiring of the American psyche is complete, but we must step back, take a breath, and remind ourselves of what is at stake. We are living during the close of an age and what we are experiencing right now in our nation is just the beginning of some very terrible days ahead.

Jeremiah was so troubled about the wicked people of his own day, that he, too, questioned God: “Yet I would speak with you about your justice: why does the way of the wicked prosper?” God’s answer is apropos for today: “If you have raced with men on foot and they have worn you out, how can you compete with horses? If you stumble in safe country, how will you manage in the thickets by the Jordan?” (Jer. 12)

This is an important scripture to bear in mind for today. As the world’s most powerful civilization, both militarily and culturally, Babylon worshiped terrible and wicked gods. The similarity of the soul of America cannot be taken lightly.

So the next time you strap on those running shoes and rush out of the house to hit the trail, remember who and what you are training for. “But my righteous one shall live by faith; and if he shrinks back, my soul has no pleasure in him. But we are not of those who shrink back to destruction, but of those who have faith to the preserving of the soul.” (Heb. 10:38-39)

The forces at work in our world are all rushing to an expected end at a dizzying pace, and I want to encourage you to press through. “Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or discouraged because of the king of Assyria and the vast army with him, for there is a greater power with us than with him.” (2 Chron. 32:7) Yes, our enemies on the left are formidable and are powered by unseen wicked spirits, but their gods are not our God. Reign well.
