In what I can only conclude was the global press gaming populists everywhere, a corporate cabal of “journalists” took part in dropping the New Year’s Eve ball in Times Square in New York—in the name of freedom of speech. I kid you not.
Following one of the worst years for free speech, where pundits and publishers are doxed, deplatformed and demonetized, the dying mainstream media wanted the world to know they support free speech. “In one of the world’s most famous public squares, it is fitting to celebrate free press and free speech as we reflect on where we’ve been during the past year and what it is we value most as a society,” said Tim Tompkins, president and organizer of the Times Square Alliance.
Participants included Time Editor and CEO Edward Felsenthal, who founded the Daily Beast before moving to the Times. A decidedly progressive digital magazine that celebrated independent journalist Alex Jones take down from Google’s sister company YouTube. The Washington Post’s Global Opinions Editor Karen Attiah, who called for an investigation of President Trump and Jared Kushner after accusing them of having ties to Saudi Arabia following the death of journalist Jamal Khashoggi.
Also included in the group: The Washington Post’s Rebecca Blumenstein; New York Times‘ Alisyn Camerota, Anchor, CNN New Day; Vladimir Duthiers, Anchor, CBSN and Correspondent, CBS News; Lester Holt, Anchor, NBC Nightly News; Matt Murray, Editor-in-Chief, The Wall Street Journal; Martha Raddatz, Chief Global Affairs Correspondent, ABCNews; Maria Ressa, Chief Executive Officer and Executive Editor, Rappler; Jon Scott, Anchor, Fox Report Weekend; Karen Toulon, Editor, Bloomberg News; and Joel Simon, Executive Director of the Committee to Protect Journalists, the official charity honoree of Times Square New Year’s Eve.
No doubt it was a who’s who of paid-off progressive globalists from the dinosaur mainstream media celebrating themselves and their billionaire media owners, such as Michael Bloomberg, who signs some of their corporate checks and who personally vowed to contribute $80 million to Democratic coffers in the upcoming 2020 election.
Other billionaire media owners bankrolling the media propaganda machine include Robert Murdoch and Jeff Bezos. Is it any wonder then that Americans distrust the press more than ever? And let’s be clear. Contrary to what journalists and talking heads may think, distrust for the media was building long before President Trump’s run for office in 2016. As in other things, Trump’s hostility to a lying press just gave voice to what most Americans have thought of the media for a long time.
Americans do not have a free press any more than Britain can say that the BBC represents their public interests. Although mainstream news’ influence is waning, corporations are gobbling up digital outlets with their millions of dollars with a very clear goal—to snuff out any and all independent journalists and bloggers who do not share their views. I wrote about this extensively in my article, Maxine Waters and Michael Moore Issue Fatwas Against Conservatives.
Traditional media is dying and actual viewer numbers are abysmal. Anyone under the age of 30 doesn’t watch mainstream news. For the mainstream press to ostensibly celebrate the idea of free speech on the cusp of a new year only goes to show you how little shame they have about reporting actual facts and what they do to any outlet that threatens their monopoly.
Worse, these journalist did nothing to bring information to an ever more captive technological populace by not even covering the major stories of 2018, such as the war in Yemen, the worldwide migrant crisis, the killing of white farmers in Africa, the hoax of the Mueller investigation, the yellow vest uprising in France, human trafficking and the stifling of real free speech by Google, Facebook and all of their sister companies.
Author Tyler Derden at Zero Hedge sums up the global cabal best in his article, The Reasons Why the Globalists Are Destined to Lose:
Under the surface of almost every sociopolitical and economic event in the world there burns an ever-raging, but often unseen, war. This war, for now, is fought with fiction and with truth, with journalistic combat and with quiet individual deeds. It is defined by two sides which could not be more philosophically or spiritually separate.
On one side is a pervasive network of corporate moguls and elites, banking entities, international financial consortiums, think tanks and political puppets. They work tirelessly to reshape public psychology and society as a whole into something they sometimes call the “New World Order;” a completely and scientifically centralized planet in which they control every aspect of government, trade, life and even moral compass. I often refer to them simply as the “Globalists,” which is how they at times refer to themselves.
On the other side is a movement that has developed organically and instinctively, growing without direct top-down “leadership,” but still guided through example by various teachers and activists, driven by a concrete set of principles based in natural law. It is composed of the religious, the agnostic and even some atheists. It is soldiered by people of all ethnic and financial backgrounds. These groups are tied together by a singular and resounding belief in the one vital thing they can all agree upon — the inherent and inborn rights of freedom. I call them the “Liberty Movement.”
So although the mainstream media makes a mockery of free speech while ringing in the new year, remember that freedom yet resides in the breasts of mankind around the world and today, the globalists are losing.
Europe is in complete turmoil and travel advisories for terrorist activities have been issued. Remember, knowledge is the real power, and the fight for who rules and reigns is heating up. Stay stoked and awoke. #Reignwell
