According to a report by Comscore, Hollywood is losing its audience. Box office sales are in a major free fall, with current domestic revenue at its lowest level since 2013. Hollywood producers are unwilling to take the selfie required to examine what is really happening in the movie business, which is they don’t make movies Americans want to see anymore. Rather, corporate shareholders are relying on sequels and prequels that piggyback on prior successes.
The same phenomena happened in the publishing industry more than three decades ago. Book publishers stopped taking risks on new authors and relied only on past successes, printing books only from known authors with solid track sales. Paperbacks everywhere seemed to be exclusively written by the same authors, over and over again. Danielle Steel, James Patterson, Stephen King, you get the idea. It stifled creativity and chased authors into the Indie publishing sphere.
Movies, like publishers, also have a common virus. They are stacked from top to bottom with progressive ideology and propaganda. The writers, editors, directors and producers almost exclusively lean left, resulting in movies that are homogeneous, predictable and boring. Story arcs are stacked with an all-you-can-eat buffet of social justice warriors, teen angst and anti-family or anti-male rhetoric. Who wants to spend their time watching this or, more important to Hollywood, spend their money?
And it is only going to get worse. Global corporations like Disney, which virtually own media, are not going to produce content from young, fresh talent. We can expect more movies like Disney and Marvel’s Captain Marvel, where female heroines beat up strong tough guys. In other words, more completely disconnected and unrelatable story arcs to feed the feminist machine and make men look impotent. But as in publishing, the Indie world of film talent is exploding. As long as people are able to opt out of the Hollywood machine, independent film producers will rise like cream to the top.
What the left always fails to get, is that people want to be free. Free of propaganda and free to be entertained by stories where people overcome themselves for a higher good rather than the dystopian and shallow world Hollywood producers wish to give us. The drastic hit the NFL took when politics entered the sports arena should have taught Hollywood a thing or two. The same could be said of the Oscars. But when you have big name players such as Valerie Jarrett, Barack and Michelle Obama and Joe Biden pulling the strings of the Creative Arts Agency (CAA), the influential body that pushes fascist ideals through clueless actors, get set to be choked with socialist sandwiches full of “victims.”
Jarrett is chief bottle washer for the poisonous third wave feminists movement. Not only is she a part of the CAA, but she was a major player in the Galvanize Program, which was launched following the first-ever United States of Women Summit sponsored by President Obama’s White House Council on Women and Girls. And let us not forget that it was Jarrett who was instrumental in getting Roseanne Barr fired from CBS. Galvanize is a terrible feminist front group that flames the hysteria of young women in American over imaginary threats to their equality. Joe Biden, too, also joined the CAA with the intent to continue Obama’s public policy work. CAA has also signed Arne Duncan, one of Obama’s longest-serving Cabinet members.
Obama’s tentacles run deep. Streaming giant Netflix partnered with Barack and Michelle Obama earlier this year to produce films and series, including scripted series, unscripted series, docuseries, documentaries and features. Throughout his eight years in the White House, Obama was busy at work setting up the groundwork of nationwide cells of trained activists to keep the momentum of his policies moving forward long after he was to leave the oval office.
With the assistance of long-time aides Valerie Jarrett and Eric Schultz, Obama remains Commander and Chief of the disturbing Antifa we see so violently disrupting town halls and burning and rioting at conservative events. And it was also Obama who was instrumental in authorizing his own Department of Justice to funnel billions of dollars into a slush fund to form and back these same liberal activist groups that are now playing out before our very eyes. The very same slush fund that Jeff Sessions vowed to shut down. Obama’s legacy wasn’t Obamacare, but laying the foundation for the resist movement.
Obama worked tirelessly to lay the groundwork for the deep state, adding layers of organizations that would be staffed with former congressional staffers, all bankrolled through the Justice Department and George Soros groups. His own group, Organizing for Action (OFA), the grass roots network that helped him get elected in both of his presidential campaigns, has morphed several times into different organizations.
OFA eventually became an official committee of the Democratic National Committee (DNC) and in 2013 it boasted a budget of $20 million. But Obama’s OFA never intended to go away when the Obama presidency ended. It was sending out emails in 2015 requesting donations even though Obama could not run for a third term because it was uniquely positioned to continue to influence the DNC after Obama’s official departure.
OFA has since partnered with the group Indivisible, which has 250 nationwide offices and 32,000 organizers, all of who are required to attend a six-week training program on subversion and Ayerlike tactics. At least three of the five officers in Indivisible, Ezra Levin, Leah Greenber and Angel Padilla, all have ties to organizations funded by Soros. Indivisible also works with other progressive groups to keep Obama’s progressive agenda on track, including the American Civil Liberties Union, International Refugee Assistance Project and the United State of Women and Asian Americans Demanding Justice.
As tempting as it may be to wile away a Saturday binging on movies, it may be time to rethink that old-fashioned library card while you are still able. If Amazon continues its modern “book burning” practices by refusing to sell conservative books by authors the Southern Poverty Law Center doesn’t like, we are on our way to Orwell’s 1984. There’s only one way out, and that is to not feed the machine. Hollywood is losing its audience and free thinkers should rejoice in the news. #Reignwell.
