“And the person who turns after mediums and familiar spirits, to prostitute himself with them, I will set My face against that person and cut him off from his people.” (Leviticus 20:6)
In case you needed any more proof of the degeneracy of our nation and how satanic forces are using areligious parents or parents hostile to Christianity to spiritually have dominion in our children’s lives, a new book teaching children to conjure demons has hit the popular retail market.
The new book, A Children’s Book of Demons, is debuting with mainstream book retailers such as Walmart, Target, Amazon and Barnes & Noble, and uses actual demonic symbols children aged 5 to 10 can draw to conjure spirits to solve their everyday problems.
“Don’t want to take out the trash tonight? Maybe you’re swimming in homework? Perhaps that big bully is being a real drag? Well grab your coloured pencils and sigil drawing skills and dial up some demons! This paranormal parody is filled to the brim with funny spirits more silly than scary!”
In the book, published by Koaoma Press, author Aaron Leighton directs kids to write sigils—symbols used in magic or the pictorial signatures of angels and demons—to “conjure gentle demons by writing their sigils, which serve as ‘a phone number’ straight to the spirit.”
But it is not a silly matter when a person engages in the demonic world. Teaching a child to invite an evil spirit into their lives is akin to strapping them into a suicide vest.
Leighton teaches children how to call on any of the 20 demons featured in the book by drawing the demon’s “sigil, the magical symbol representing the letters of the demon’s name,” loudly saying its name, and commanding it to “appear and do your bidding.” To dismiss the spirit, children are then instructed to rip the drawing in half.
But spirits don’t leave because we tell them to unless they are commanded to leave by the power of the Holy Spirit in the name of Jesus Christ. They don’t serve human beings and do not recognize human authority.
Leighton, is said to be an occultist himself. He is a contributor to left-leaning HuffPost, where his bio reads, “While Aaron grew up in a small town on the Canadian prairies, he now lives with his wife in Toronto, Canada, alongside a multitude of spirits and other interesting creatures.”
A group of Catholic exorcists condemned the book as “seductive” and “dangerous.” In a statement by the International Association of Exorcists, the group said, “Whoever invites a child to summon a demon is causing them to lose their identity and to be morally, psychologically and spiritually destroyed.”
They also condemned those who participated in any way with the book, saying “those who invite children to summon demons are already an ‘ally’ of the demons.” I would agree. “If anyone causes one of these little ones—those who believe in me—to stumble, it would be better for them to have a large millstone hung around their neck and to be drowned in the depths of the sea.” (Matthew 18:6)
I’ve written on the dangers of the occult before, including how the dark forces of Satan are using culture to reach our children. When we “play,” with the occult we are stepping behind enemy lines and giving full legal permission for these spirits to set up shop within our homes and lives—to be defiled by them.
“Give no regard to mediums and familiar spirits; do not seek after them, to be defiled by them: I am the Lord your God.” (Leviticus 19:31)
Demonic spirits are instruments of Satan himself. They only have one purpose: to kill, steal and destroy. Christian parents should be immediately alarmed with the implications suggested in this book and see the “silly creatures” for what they are—enemies straight from the pit of hell.
When you enter the land the LORD your God is giving you, do not learn to imitate the detestable ways of the nations there. Let no one be found among you who sacrifices his son or daughter in the fire, who practices divination or sorcery, interprets omens, engages in witchcraft, or casts spells, or who is a medium or who consults the dead. Anyone who does these things is detestable to the LORD, and because of these detestable practices the LORD your God will drive out those nations before you. You must be blameless before the LORD your God. The nations you will dispossess listen to those who practice sorcery or divination. But as for you, the LORD your God has not permitted you to do so. (Deuteronomy 18:9-14)
It is the unsuspecting, areligious parents who are serving the father of this world that will be causing serious damage to the children in the West as well as hastening the shredding of our Christian religious heritage. The question is whether any will heed the warning.
The cavalier attitude over the spiritual warnings left by many parents in the Amazon reviews of the book is sadly telling. You can feel the hostility in their words, calling Christian parents who are sincerely warning about the dangers of the book, “Bible thumpers.”
Dark days are indeed ahead. For believers, we must continue to be vigilant and pray as we speed ever closer to the end of the age. “For we wrestle not with flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.” Ephesians 6:12-13
