A Very Dark Day in American History as Big Tech Censors Biden Burisma Story

Three weeks out from a presidential election, the New York Post published an article on Wednesday that confirmed the pay to play scheme with Ukrainian-owned energy company Burisma and Joe Biden.

The uncovered emails in the exposé appear to prove that the son of former Vice President and 2020 presidential candidate Joe Biden was being paid in exchange for access to Obama’s VP.

Notwithstanding the importance of the revelations to the American electorate, the two biggest tech giants, Facebook and Twitter, went into overdrive to throttle and outright ban the sharing of the article, essentially working for the Biden campaign.

Twitter took the draconian measure of even suspending the account of the White House Press Secretary, Kayleigh McEnany, for having committed the sin of retweeting the information.

The Post’s exposé published emails that were found on Hunter Biden’s own computer and, contrary to Twitter, the information wasn’t hacked but was the property of the computer repair shop owner who had legal possession of the computer.

It is difficult to put into words just how heinous and dark these moves against free speech are. In fact, it is perhaps the darkest day America has experienced since the 9/11 attacks on our nation. Blatant, in-your-face, indisputable censorship.

The choreographed move by both tech giants doesn’t just definitively unveil the bias of the tech giants, but is the biggest act of domestic election interference hitherto seen.

The tech giants have contributed millions in donations to the Democratic Party and are actively running interference for Joe Biden’s presidential campaign. It is also disconcerting that Biden’s running mate Kamala Harris’s own press secretary is Chief of Communications at Twitter. Twitter Public Policy Director Carlos Monje also left the social media company in September to team up with the transition team for Joe Biden.

Saagar Enjeti, an opinion host with the Hill said on Tucker Carlson Wednesday night, “This is actually a declaration of war by the big tech companies. We need to understand what this is. It’s an in-kind donation in the hundreds of millions of dollars to the Joe Biden campaign.”

Andy Stone, the Policy Communications Director with Facebook, tweeted about the Post article and announced that Facebook would be “fact-checking” the report while simultaneously throttling the distribution of the story:

“While I will intentionally not link to the New York Post, I want be clear that this story is eligible to be fact checked by Facebook’s third-party fact checking partners,” Stone said on Twitter. “In the meantime, we are reducing its distribution on our platform.”

Stone is a well known democratic operative who worked as a press secretary for the former Democratic Sen. Barbara Boxer as well as working as a press secretary for the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee.

Twitter responded by locking the Post’s twitter account and preventing sharing of the story, even in direct messages.

The data firm, Civis Analytics, backed by Eric Schmidt, the former executive chairman of Alphabet, Google’s parent company, has been paid millions of dollars by Democratic committees and is currently working for Joe Biden’s presidential campaign. You can’t make this stuff up.

According to a Geller Report:

“The presidential campaigns of Sens. Cory Booker (D., NJ), Elizabeth Warren (D., Mass.), and failed Senate candidate Robert ‘Beto’ O’Rourke have also combined to pay tens of thousands for its services during the first three months of the year. Civis Analytics announced in late April that it will be working with Joe Biden’s presidential campaign for the 2020 election cycle, Bloomberg reported. Civis appears to be expanding its political team in Washington and New York, according to job postings on its website.

“Throughout the 2018 cycle, Civis collected more than $4 million from Democratic committees, filings show. Its biggest client throughout the midterm elections was the Senate Majority PAC, which cut more than $2 million worth of checks to the firm for research services.”

This is a serious matter and is illustrative of why censorship of anyone on the right continues on big tech platforms. It is impossible to expect political actors to clean up an industry that is clearly in the bag for them.

The matter is so critical to our Republic that anything short of a full investigation is futile. Sen. Josh Hawley, who called Facebook and Twitter’s reaction to the Post article “unprecedented suppression,” says the big tech platforms violates federal campaign finance law. Hawley said in a letter Wednesday to the FEC axting General Counsel Lisa Stevenson:

“This conduct does not merely censor the core political speech of ordinary Americans, though it certainly does that. Twitter and Facebook’s conduct also appears to constitute a clear violation of federal campaign-finance law.”

”Federal law prohibits any corporation from making a contribution to a federal candidate for office.”

According to Tucker Carlson, the emails were found on an Apple laptop belonging to Hunter Biden that had been dropped off at a Delaware computer repair shop and never reclaimed.

The shop owner, who did not receive payment, took legal possession of the laptop. When he looked at the computer, he found tens of thousands of email exchanges with foreign governments and officials.

The shop owner was stunned by the appearance of corruption and was afraid for his family and turned the laptop over to the FBI late last year. In May, the owner had not heard back from the FBI and became increasingly anxious. He kept a hard copy for himself. He contacted Sen. Mike Lee’s office and a nonprofit conservative group, but received no response. He finally reached out to Rudy Guiliana’s office.

Miranda Divine, the Post journalist who broke the story, appeared on Tucker Carlson and blasted Twitter’s official response that the emails were “hacked,” saying these are actual emails and photographs from Hunter Biden’s laptop that were legally obtained.

In light of Bill Barr’s exoneration of wrong doing in the unmasking scandal of the Trump campaign, can we even wonder why the FBI did nothing with the smoking gun laptop they had in their possession since last year?

It is a very dark day for this nation and it is time to end the corruption and stranglehold the deep state has over our judicial system and the FBI. Without free speech and a press that is not censored, we have no American Republic.
