A Republic Under Siege: U.S. Mayors as Elected Enemies

The US Conference of Mayors is possibly the most dangerous organization operating in the United States right now that you may never have heard of.

I previously reported on the scope and depth of this organization’s progressive agenda under their deceptive self-labeled status as a “nonpartisan” group in Democratic Cities Are Beginning to Smell Like Day-Old Fish.

As many Americans were rudely awakened from their civil liberty slumber during the Chinese virus “pandemic” and later the Black Lives Matter and Antifa looting, violence and anarchy following the death of George Floyd, they begin to ask themselves, just who are these elected tyrants?

Previously apolitical citizens are now searching for answers to such questions as how did a gun-loving, freedom-loving state such as Texas manage to unanimously pass a “hate speech” resolution for the name of a virus in the town of San Antonio.

And how is it that in Minneapolis, Mayor Jacob Frey, who won office by campaigning on a platform of increasing support for affordable housing and improving police-community relations, took a knee to criminals and let his city be looted and burned to the ground.

The common denominator for all of these mayors is their ties to the US Conference of Mayors (USCM), a group of progressive policy influencers who hide from public scrutiny by labeling their nonprofit as a bipartisan group.

Cities such as Minneapolis and San Antonio are not the only cities to be tied to the USCM.

There are more than 1,400 mayors who make up the Conference, a virtual progressive army of policy makers who support gun control, advocate for climate and green energy policies at the local level, work with “hate” watchdogs, actively worked to count illegal immigrants in the U.S. 2020 Census and support the disbandment of police departments.

Behind closed doors and with little input from local citizens–but with a great deal of influence and grants by think tanks, corporations and diversity “theologians”–some of the most progressive policies are quietly being passed in the dark and often in red states.

Rather than working to improve community policing like he pledged, Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey authored an ordinance in 2016  requiring polluters to pay fees based on the amount of pollution they produce. The fees were then used to support green business “improvements.”

For his efforts, Frey and the City of Minneapolis were honored at the 2018 US Conference of Mayors for the program’s “success.”

In San Antonio, Mayor Ron Nirenberg not only introduced a resolution that was passed by the City Council that condemned people who called the Covid virus the Chinese virus or the Kung Flu virus, he championed a Climate Action and Adaption plan, which was also adopted by the City Council in October 2019.

Nirenberg, who is an active member of the USCM, is also a member of their Climate Mayors Steering Committee and the Census Committee, which advocated for counting illegal immigrants in the 2020 Census.

Most insulting perhaps is Nirenberg’s public comments that he is apolitica when he clearly governs based on his ideology.

So although Nirenberg may not want the citizens of San Antonio to know he is full of progressive ideas, it doesn’t take a genius to figure out that his involvement with the USCM and his advocacy of their New Deal Leaders means he is no friend to conservatism.

But Nirenberg isn’t the only mayor who is hip-deep in this dangerous organization. The USCM is the official “non-partisan” organization of cities with populations of 30,000 or more, of which there are 1,408.

Consider that in one weekend last month, Chicago had more than 100 shootings, but during its 87th annual meeting, the USCM thought it a good idea to appoint Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot to serve as Chair of their Criminal and Social Justice Committee.

The USCM then launched a new initiative last month as cities like Chicago became virtual killing fields to “produce, advance and enact meaningful reforms to address police violence and patterns of racial discrimination.” The Police Reform and Racial Justice Working Group also includes Chicago’s Lightfoot as well as the mayors of Tampa and Cincinnati.

As the Chinese Virus hoax was just beginning to ramp up, invited speakers at the group’s January 2020 Winter Conference in Washington, D. included New York’s Mayor Bill de Blasio, Chicago’s Mayor Lori Lightfoot and Democratic presidential hopefuls Pete Buttigieg and Mike Bloomberg,

The full agenda and participants can be found here, but there isn’t much bipartisanship to be found.

Piscataway, New Jersey Mayor, Brian C. Wahler, who called members of ICE “kidnappers” and “human traffickers” after President Trump signed an executive order halting Obama’s policy that separated migrant families at the border, delivered the opening remarks.

The number of corporate sponsors backing the group’s Business Council for “Inclusive and Passionate Cities” is also staggering. It includes Walmart, Bank of America, Starbucks, Coca-Cola, the Aspen Institute and Target, among others.

Speaker Laysha Ward, a spokesperson for Target, addressed the mayors at the first breakfast meeting. After she said “Good morning” to the mayors in attendance, her first comment was “that felt like a black church moment.” Yes, it was that cringe. Of course, that was before Target was looted in downtown Minneapolis.

Ward, who is in fact black, went on to tell the mayors in attendance that Target is committed to paying a $15 minimum wage by the end of 2020, a policy that, according to Vox, six of the former Democratic 2020 presidential candidates support.

Ward’s buzz words included “equitable opportunity” and “promoting diversity.” I’m guessing, however, the looters who stole from the Target in the YouTube video above didn’t get that message.

Ward crowed that Target was even printing signs in Hispanic urban areas. She seemed proud that Target’s “small format” stores were ensuring that urban retailers offered for purchase ethnic products rather than being disturbed that immigrants are living in gulags within cities and failing to assimilate, including the basics of say, speaking and reading English.

The mayors were then treated to speaker Zulima Espinel, the Vice President of Global Public Policy and Government Affairs for Starbucks (real title). Those university graduates in diversity studies have to be employed somewhere and Espinel seemed overjoyed to be filling her role with the coffee giant.

Starbucks, Espinel wanted the mayors to know, isn’t in the coffee business. “Our mission is to nurture the human spirit.”

During her speech, Espinel discussed how proud Starbucks was of their civil rights “audit on inclusivity and diversity” and that they were very proud of their “DACA partners,” in which the company reimburses employees for the biennial fees required to remain in the DACA program.

Espinel went on to speak of how Starbucks is working on becoming “resource positive,” which had something to do with carbon emissions, not fair trade coffee, but you get the picture.

Louisville Mayor Greg Fischer, who became President of the USCM in 2020, also spoke about the organization’s “Inclusive and Compassionate Cities” program.

Fischer actually said, “The pulpit of our office allows us to change culture.” Indeed it does.

Fischer then scolded the audience of mayors over the 2017 dust-up in Charlottesville, Virginia where he proclaimed “a reinvigorated white supremacist movement” is increasing hate speech and hate crimes.” Because as we all know, nooses are being seen everywhere at Nascar races and an Jussie Smollett’s Chicago neighborhood.

Fischer didn’t mention the tsunami of black on white crime or black on Jew crime that mostly Democratic cities are suffering from or any of the knock out games perpetuated on unsuspecting white people.

Rather, he extolled the virtues of the compact his city signed under the program and urged the other mayors in attendance to adopt their “best practices.”

So what is the Mayors and Business Leaders Center for Inclusive and Compassionate Cities program? Glad you asked.

If the title of the program didn’t tip you off to what is going on in small towns and cities across America, you can take it straight from their own mouths:

“In the troubling days following the violent and deadly demonstrations in Charlottesville in August 2017, more than 325 mayors signed a Mayors’ Compact to Combat Hate, Extremism and Bigotry, a 10-point pledge to work toward inclusive and compassionate cities drafted by the Conference in conjunction with the Anti-Defamation League.”

As conservatives and patriotic Americans are all too well aware, “bigotry” is the left’s buzzword for “disagree,” which is then twisted into “bias” and “hate.” Not surprisingly, the un-elected enforcer of this ideology is the Anti-Defamation League (ADL).

The USCM’s program has teamed up with some of the countries top biased and hateful groups, including:

  • Not in Our Town
  • ADL Center on Extremism
  • Living Cities
  • Government Alliance on Race and Equity
  • Race Forward
  • Center for Social Inclusion
  • Racial Equity Here
  • Southern Poverty Law Center
  • Communities Against Hate

According to the ADL, the 10 key components of the program are:

1. Expressly rejecting extremism, white supremacy and all forms of bigotry

“Mayors will use the bully pulpit to speak out against racism, extremism, xenophobia, white supremacy and all forms of bigotry, and those who espouse such ideologies, and promote community conversations around these issues as needed.”

Notice that this racist clap-trap not only encourages mayors to be bullies, it is only aimed at white people, as if black and brown people are someone how born free of any racist thoughts or actions.

2. Denouncing all acts of hate wherever they occur

“Mayors will publicly denounce specific acts of hate and support efforts to punish bias-motivated violence to the fullest extent of the law, and provide comfort and assistance to victims of hate crimes and discrimination.”

Conservatives don’t believe in “acts of hate.” All crime and violence against an individual is illegal and often involves individual hate, if not disregard, for human rights, property and life. Discrimination is also already banned under federal law, but that hasn’t stopped California and Oregon for wanting to make race-based exceptions.

3. Ensuring public safety while protecting free speech and other basic Constitutional rights

“Mayors will protect public safety while safeguarding free speech and other basic constitutional rights through the use of appropriate time, place, and manner restrictions. This might include encouraging alternative rally sites and placing limits on the rights of protestors to bring weapons to political rallies.

This is particularly odious. Free speech is already protected under the First Amendment. What they are openly advocating for is limiting the rights of protesters to assemble against their own government and to place restrictions on our Second Amendment.

4. Calling for fully-resourced law enforcement and civil rights investigations of domestic terrorism and hate crimes

Mayors will work to ensure that local police departments have the financial resources necessary to prevent, respond to and investigate domestic terrorism and hate crimes, and work with federal authorities when appropriate to ensure that the interests of justice are served.

Not any more. Following the lead of anarchists, mayors are now adding their voices to defunding local police departments, as was done in New York and Minneapolis. Rather than arresting rioters and vandals, police are standing down and letting crime occur unabated. This is not justice.

5. Elevating and prioritizing anti-bias and anti-hate programs in our nation’s schools

Mayors will encourage schools to implement anti-bias and anti-hate content in their curricula and/or through extra-curricular activities.

Enacting and enforcing propaganda on our children has already resulted in the young and dumb joining groups such as Antifa and Black Lives Matter, one of which is now deemed a domestic terrorist group. Who wants to bet that this proclamation doesn’t include the hate speech we are hearing about white people or changing the curricula to include love of country.

6. Supporting targeted communities and bringing together civic and community leaders to build trust

Mayors will reach out proactively to civil rights leaders, clergy and other community leaders to ensure that they are engaged and actively involved in efforts to build trust across neighborhood and community lines and minimize intergroup tensions.

This policy has been endorsed for 50 years. It doesn’t work when Democratic-led cities only control minority populations for their own ends. It also doesn’t work when these cities criminalize police officers for doing their job and endorse dismantling police departments.

7. Celebrating diversity, promoting inclusivity and challenging bias

Mayors will support the integration of immigrants and other new residents into the community, encourage community activities which celebrate diversity and educate city residents about the different cultures that compose a city’s population, and work with creative partners to use various electronic and print media outlets to promote public messages celebrating inclusivity and challenging bias.

Never mind that supporting legal and illegal immigrants takes away jobs from those citizens who are already trapped in Democratic-Led cities where the level of education is as bad as any third world country and where minority residents are chronically unemployed and dependent on illegal activities for income. Illegal immigration is a crime in this country and should be prosecuted appropriately, not be rewarded.

8. Promoting law enforcement training on responding to and reporting to and reporting hate incidents, hate crimes and domestic terrorism

Mayors will encourage their police departments to participate in training programs offered by ADL and others that address how to identify and respond to hate incidents, hate crimes and domestic terrorism. Members will also encourage the collection of data on such crimes and the provision of the data to appropriate state authorities and the FBI in compliance with the Federal Hate Crime Statistics Act.

Does this mean we will see black on white and black on Jewish crimes being accurately reported as a hate crime? Don’t count on it.

9. Encouraging residents in their communities to report hate incidents and crimes, including using hot lines and online tools.

Mayors will encourage residents – both victims and witnesses – to report hate incidents and hate crimes to local authorities, and provide the tools necessary to facilitate such reporting, including hot lines and online tools, as possible and appropriate.

Mayors want their citizens to snitch on one another. Turning your residents against one another is the fastest way to increase division. It also smacks of Nazism.

10. Maintaining civil rights enforcement and strengthening hate crime laws when necessary

Mayors will work with executive and legislative partners at the federal and state levels to assure that civil rights laws are aggressively enforced, existing hate crime laws are strengthened as needed, and new laws are enacted to ensure that all hate crimes are prosecutable in their jurisdictions to the greatest extent possible.

This is the ideology being promoted and supported by the US Conference of Mayors and what tax paying citizens of many of these cities are paying for when they send their mayors to these organizational events.

So what does the US Conference of Mayors President Louisville Mayor Greg Fischer believe in?

For starters, he is a fan of both former President Obama and the Pope, who is a migration advocate and said on the 2017 World Day of Migrants, “Migration is more important even than national security.”

Yes, the president of USMC in a big fan of the Pope, who believes migration is more important than our national security

After Fischer attended Obama’s welcome at the White House, he said, “You can tell that they’re soul mates on many of the things that they believe in.”

In contrast, when President Trump visited Louisville, Fischer did a whirlwind push for gun control, appearing on CNN, MSNBC and NPR.

Fischer also joined former New York City Mayor Mike Bloomberg’s 2020 presidential campaign as co-chair. Fischer said, “My background as an entrepreneur and businessperson really lined up well with their view of government, that government should not just do daily work, but should also do improvement work and innovation work.”

More disagreeable than the perpetual race baiting and race-based policies the program promotes is who is funding them.

According to their own website, “Early support from Walmart, followed by the Coca-Cola Company and Comcast, was critical to the establishment of the Center. Their support sends a message to city leaders and business leaders that three of the world’s most successful and influential companies recognize the importance of direct action to confront bias and hate with compassion and inclusion.

If you weren’t convinced before that progressives are obsessed by skin color, you can go back to sleep now, but you will do so at your own peril.

Republicans have long abandoned these cities under Democrat rule, but this is a grave mistake. Legislation and sweeping progressive agendas that are based in race and that chip away at our Constitutional rights are being passed in city councils around the nation.

More dangerous than a Chinese virus is the USMC and the progressive mayors being elected in our cities, many of who were financially backed by Soros and his organizations and are being funded by woke corporations. It is time to rid our cities of these elected enemies. #Reignwell
